Chapter 1
The Narrator's Drawing
The pilot recalls how adults misunderstood his drawing of a boa constrictor digesting an elephant. Grown-ups need explanations; children see with imagination.
Chapter 2
Meeting the Prince
The little prince appears in the Sahara and asks the pilot to draw a sheep. Through simple requests, he opens a world of wonder and questions.
Chapter 3
The Prince's Planet
The prince's asteroid has three volcanoes and a rose. He tends his planet and learns that his rose is unique to him—and that he is responsible for her.
Chapter 4
The Journey Through Asteroids
The prince visits a king, a vain man, a drunkard, a businessman, a lamplighter, and a geographer. Each encounter reveals how adults often miss what matters.
Chapter 5
On Earth & the Fox
On Earth the prince meets a fox who teaches him to "tame" and be tamed—to create bonds that make someone unique in all the world.
Chapter 6
The Snake & Farewell
The prince must return to his rose. The snake offers to send him home. He tells the pilot that the stars will hold his laugh—and that what matters is invisible.
